Data Protection Event

The current analysis of data reveals that Indian startups are disrupting way ahead of the conventional industry by seizing the opportunities and innovating across sectors. Over 30 startups joined the unicorn club in 2021 and we are still counting. As we witness a large number of startups focused on cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and the Internet of Things, they face multiple data-related challenges. Businesses venturing into international markets are stumbled on strategic and legal questions of GDPR in Europe and now data protection law in India. MeitY Start-up Hub' (MSH) and European Business & Technology Centre have come together for a session that shall help Indian businesses and startups understand the key elements of data compliances when receiving data from third parties and internationalising into European Countries.

The session is focused on sharing valuable insights on Global Data Protection Rights (GDPR) and new Indian Data protection and privacy laws introduced recently. The discussion will provide an opportunity to the audience to get insights from the experts who are working in the Europe-India business & Policy corridor on data-related initiatives. The session shall bring together thought leaders of Europe – India business corridor, including select policymakers, think tanks, business leaders, representatives from governments, legal from Europe and India
