EBTC Internationalisation Programme

As the world races towards building a greener future, we are faced with economic challenges and the need for urgent technological innovation. This calls for immediate and scalable collaboration worldwide - across sectors and geographies.

EBTC’s journey started as a project with a focus on the EU-India business corridor. The project was co-created and sustained by multiple stakeholders and supported by EU public funds. The primary focus was to work with both public and private players in the clean tech space in Europe and India.

For eight years we understood unique situations, revised goals, adapted solutions, and facilitated many a fruitful partnerships between EU and India. An early exposure of sorts, to solving many pressing problems which global leaders now grapple with. We learned and, equally importantly, unlearnt many previously accepted solutions during the project period of eight years. Through this process we developed a system to explore and invent new approaches, leading to impactful solutions that make the world more liveable, and economies more sustainable. In eight short years we grew from a co-funded project to an independent organisation, that is recognized as an important partner between Europe and India.

EBTC enables smart collaborations between the two regions with specific focus on sustainability, innovation, green technology and internationalisation. It uses a SYSTEMS THINKING approach that starts with understanding the structure and dynamics of the systems that we want to work with or improve.

What is EBTC Systems Thinking?

Collaborations, Climate Change, Innovation, Sustainable Financing, Internationalisation. All of these are the top most issues of our times and are the core areas EBTC works in.

Systems thinking when applied to these kinds of large multi-dimensional challenges or problem statements leads to detailed, well-thought out, and most importantly, sustainable solutions. Our projects have far-reaching potential as the focus is on not just implementation, but also detailed understanding of the impact of implementation on all aspects of the system. The systems thinking approach by EBTC applies to and benefits almost every aspect of a business. However, opportunities to create, share, and spread value vary greatly among industries.

SYSTEMS THINK drives and supports collaboration

We assess local needs/demand as a problem statement to initiate clusters, projects, and programmes. This helps co-create unique solutions with multiple stakeholders, and also results in operational efficiency growth and innovation for all partners. EBTC’s project-centric and demand-driven approach in Europe India collaborations has brought together many such fruitful partnerships. Greater use of systems thinking and systemic design approaches enable us to do a number of things more effectively such as:

The prime beneficiary of our systems think - approach has been our own organization. We tirelessly engage with multiple stakeholders to create joint value propositions at scale.

We provide and facilitate a performance-driven platform that brings together different needs, ideas, and opportunities. This approach in turn translates into collaborative projects, which in turn leads to new solutions. As a trusted partner in the business corridor, EBTC builds actionable intelligence through projects, clusters and programmes backed by its vast body of knowledge and networks.

EBTC’s intent and purpose, going forward, is to strengthen the Europe India business corridor with such collaborative partnerships, across public and private sectors, in an effort to unite and lift each stakeholder’s effort and results towards common goals.
