The CII and Andhra Pradesh Technology Development & Promotion Centre in association with European Patent Office and European Business and Technology Centre is reaching out to companies and researchers in Karnataka.
As a part of this initiative, the parties introduced the stakeholders to the online patent database on green technologies and search tools provided by EPO, for mining patent information beneficial for identifying technologies, which can potentially be transferred to India. Additionally, they would be helped in building capacity on available green technologies databases, facilitating stakeholders in searching of green technologies and spreading awareness on available green technologies from Europe for collaboration and thereby reducing carbon footprints globally.
Patrick Le Gonidec, Electronic Publication and Dissemination, EPO, said: "Our patent database Espacent offers online access free of charge to over eighty million patent documents from around the world and this outreach will help in building partnerships between European Union (EU) and India companies."
