3rd Indo- European Conference on Standards & Emerging Technologies

The 3rd Indo- European Conference on Standards & Emerging Technologies was organised on 26th April 2018 in New Delhi in the framework of the SESEI (Seconded European Standardisation Expert in India) project (www.sesei.eu) and in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Organisers were the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), the European Commission’s Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry and Entrepreneurship (DG GROW) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), in the framework of their SESEI project (www.sesei.eu) and in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

This conference brought together key technical and subject matter experts from the European and Indian communities to share and learn about Standardization and Emerging Technologies, covering the following topics:

ICT covering M2M/IoT & its role in Smart Cities and Cyber Security

  • Automotive covering Electric mobility and Intelligent Transport System (ITS)
  • Smart Energy covering Smart Grid, Smart Meter, LVDC, Micro Grid etc.

The conference released and presented three study reports on the above topics, shared updates on these topics covering the latest EU/Global/Indian developments around Standardization, related policies & legislation, gaps and challenges, and decided the way forward through presentations and panel discussions.

EBTC authored the study report on Automobile and ICT.
