EBTC, page in the last couple of weeks, stuff earnestly showcased European perspectives, technical standards, case studies, project experiences in the two Industry events held at ‘Bengaluru’- India’s technology and innovation capital.
‘ACREX India 2015’ held from 26th to 28th February – touted as South Asia’s largest exhibition on Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Refrigeration and Building Services. ACREX 2015 edition attracted more than 400 exhibitors from across 25 countries and 30, 000 business visitors, delegates and conference participants. EBTC’s partner REHVA (Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning Associations) along with Indian counterpart ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers) organised a ‘Commissioning Workshop for improving building energy performance’. This skill enhancing, technical workshop achieved its objective while European experts shared their perspectives, case studies and experiences. The Indian participants brought out India specific challenges and need for certified products and people. A perfect platform for EBTC to bridge the gap of knowledge, skill and technology.
ACREX was followed by ‘India Smart Grid Week’ (ISGW 2015) from 2nd to 6th March, organised by the India Smart Grid Forum, a PPP initiative of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. ISGW 2015 brought together India’s leading Electricity Utilities, Policy Makers, Regulators, Investors and the worlds’ top-notch Smart Grid and Smart City Experts and Researchers to discuss trends, share best practices and showcase next generation technologies and products.
Aside from EBTC actively promoting ISGW in Europe, we also highlighted the EU’s pole position in smart grid pilots and investments. While EBTC presented EU’s smart grid leadership and perspectives, a perfect opportunity to underline amongst USA, Japan, Korea, Canada that were enormously represented in ISGW. European smart grid experts from EDF, ERDF and technology companies like Enel, Cyan demonstrated their involvement in European pilot projects and their willingness to collaborate with India as heavy investment plans are ripe in building smart grids and smarter cities for India. At the end of day 1 of ISGW, an ‘EU-India Networking Evening’ powered by EBTC, gave a perfect setting for EU companies and their Indian counterparts to share ideas, whip-up challenges and foster prospects!
Both the events go to prove the value that EBTC is creating through infusing European knowledge and expertise, while India is aspiring to build energy efficient green buildings, smart grids and smarter cities.
