Poul V Jensen

Mr. Poul V. JENSEN


Since January 2010, Mr. Jensen has been the Director of EBTC, where his main focus is the SME and research communities, and his main mandate is to pragmatically execute the task of bringing EU and India even closer together in their strategic and operational relations. This includes addressing challenges in transferring clean technologies, providing input for developing clusters, and for developing procedures to enhance collaboration on R&D and innovation. Poul holds a Bachelors in International Trade from the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark and a Masters in Business Administration from CASS Business School, London. His career started 1989 at the then largest Danish Conglomerate, East Asiatic Company, a shipping, transportation and distribution firm, operating globally.


Mr. Vincent van NOORD

Associate Director

In EBTC Vincent is an advisor and focusing mainly on the organisation’s programmes such as the Smart City Knowledge and Innovation Programme as well as setting up and managing clusters (Euro/Indian) for specific sectors in India. 

Vincent came to India in 2007, after a career in Marketing with a.o. Sony Europe in the Netherlands. In India he was active in the real estate sector initially with DTZ International Property Advisors., later he created his own advisory firm called BRICKS INDIA together with a Dutch and Indian partner. 

Later Vincent was the Chairman of the India Netherlands Business Association in Delhi (2012 – 2014).

Since 2014 Vincent is representing Dutch organisations in India such as the Amsterdam ArenA. This was followed by the managing a cluster of companies in India for Dutch Sports Infrastructure (DSI). This group of companies consists of among others: Philips, KNVB, Ten Cate, Heras, etc. Currently the DSI cluster is under the umbrella of EBTC. 



Mr. Varun SEHGAL

Principal Advisor

Varun's main focus at EBTC is the EU-India Smart Cities Knowledge and Innovation Programme, which is designed to promote Indo-European cooperation for Smart Infrastructure, support Indian Government and private sector by introducing adaptable technologies, frameworks and solutions for smart cities. Before joining EBTC as Advisor, Varun has 12 years of hands-on diversified experience in Policy Matters, Advocacy, Development sector projects and Strategic Planning. He was a Partner with a PR and Strategy Consulting firm, leading the business advocacy practice. Varun has worked with leading Indian Business Member organization FICCI as part of the Corporate Initiative team leading multiple Development sector projects with Government, bilateral institutions & private sectors and he has also worked with Indo-US bilateral chamber of commerce spearheading new initiatives and advocacy programs. Varun is a graduate in commerce and holds his Masters in Strategy from a leading  business school in India. 


   Head Projects

Before joining EBTC in 2017, Judith has been managing the operational business of an e-start-up based in Germany. Judith first came to India in 2013 as Project Manager in a Dutch IT company and thereafter headed the German Business Desk of an Indian consultancy group which provides legal services as well as tax and compliance-related advisory services to German companies internationalising to India.

Having also gathered work experience in the creative consultancy business in both Germany and India, Judith has gained valuable insights into the perspectives and multilayered challenges European companies face when entering the Indian market. At EBTC, Judith’s role involves coordinating and managing activities linked to EBTC’s programmes and projects as well as communicating with EBTC’s partners and official stakeholders from the EU and India. Judith is a Postgraduate from the Adam Smith Business School (University of Glasgow) in Management with Enterprise and Business Growth (M.Sc.) and speaks German, English, and Hindi.


Mr. Ranjithkumar JAMBULINGAM

Projects & Operations Manager

Ranjith is responsible for identifying project opportunities, technology partners and actively work towards business development for EU companies in India. He is a dynamic green energy enthusiast with a masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Renewable energy systems from University of Leeds. He has a strong background in sustainable energy with especially deep insights into applied solar photovoltaic technology. Ranjith had worked as Regional Manager, (South India) for an Indian renewable energy company heading their operations and business development activities in southern India. His business development experience exhibits extensive professional associations with State government agencies and private companies. His experience also covers developing business plans on a regional basis, project management and techno-managerial skills, is a valuable asset for EU companies seeking Indian project opportunities.


Ms. Sneha MISHRA

Projects & Research Manager - Bengaluru

Sneha has previously worked with a Spanish Infrastructure and Management consulting firm in Bengaluru, undertaking projects especially for multi-lateral funding agencies (ADB,WB,DFID,EU & others) in the diversified sectors of Infrastructure. She has been very proactive in Liaisoning and Engagements both on partners and experts end. She possess strong communication and writing skills and has strong professional background of representing organizations in the International Platform. These skills are invaluable for an institution like EBTC and can be harnessed for applying for multilateral and bilateral funds to support the activities and projects of EBTC.



Mrs. Ankita TYAGI

Manager - IPR 

Ankita is responsible for the implementation of the European Patent Office (EPO) Workplan for India at EBTC and manages the EBTC IPR Helpdesk. The IPR Helpdesk provides services such as technology scouting and technology transfer to European and Indian SMEs and other stakeholders. Ankita also spearheads the development of an EBTC IP strategy. Previously Ankita has worked as Patent Engineer in the Centre of Excellence in IPR, CDAC, Innovation and IPR Division, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, from 2009. At CDAC, she has worked on a large scope of IP topics, and in the course of work engaged with many Government agencies, i.e. MEITY, IPO, DIPP, etc., as well as targeting a broad variety of IP stakeholders, including SME’s, academia, government, private entities - industrial and individuals alike - and research institutes. Ankita has a Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation from Delhi University, a Master’s of Science degree in Bioinformatics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights respectively.

 Mr. Saurav AGRAWAL

Advisor - Clean India Mission (Swachh Bharat)

Saurav is an advisor to EBTC on waste management and sanitation. He is a dynamic entrepreneur with more than 10 years of business experience in global trading. His fields of expertise include solid waste management, environmental consultancy and advocacy, and construction. He has dealt with blue chip companies like Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, Aditya Birla Group, or Kazstroy Service (KSS) – Petron Indian Ltd, as well as companies in the Middle East and Europe. One of his achievements was providing an eco-friendly alternative fuel from non-biodegradable solid waste to the Indian cement industry, which was the first ever import of this kind in India. Saurav also has experience in dealing with public sector organizations and multinationals, with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities. He holds a MBA degree from New Port University, California.
